Week 5 Start/Sit Results
Let me preface this by saying that a start/sit list should consist of borderline decisions that will benefit the majority of fantasy owners. No need to put out a start list that includes no-brainers like Peyton Manning, LT, and Wes Welker. Or a sit list with people like Reuben Groans, Koren "I'll" Rob-your-son, or Albert Haynesworthless. I like to incur a high degree of difficulty. Go out on a limb a little, ya know? Sonny's hot list was not really meant to be a start/sit list, but we'll count it as such this time. In reality, we should probably separate the two lists. Anyway, here's how we did in week five.
Sondog:
McNabb - 350 yds, 2TD, 0 Int = HIT
T. Jones - 109 rushyds, 4 rec for 13yds, 0 TD = HIT (anytime a back goes over 100, it's a HIT...although it would have been nice to get one of those 2 TD's Benson stole after CHI got a big lead)
L. Jordan - 71 rushyds, 3 rec for 10 yds, 0 TD = MISS
Maurice Jones-Drew - (I think we should take Sport's Guy's advice and start calling him
Mo-Jo) - 59 rushyds, 20 retyds, 2 TD = HIT
Larry Johnson - 36 rushyds, 6 rec for 106 yds, 1 TD, 2 fum = HIT (2 fumbles are no good, but he still put up a really nice score)
Roy Williams - 1 rec for 7 yds, 0 TD = MISS (he left the game after a mean hit to the back by Darren Sharper during the Lion's first drive.)
Terry Glenn - 5 rec for 51 yds, 0 TD = MISS (but hey you were right on about DB's being Bledsoe's favorite target - 3 INT)
Marvin Harrison - 3 rec for 29 yds, 1 TD = HIT (Marvin was able to find the end zone agaist a surprisingly fiesty Tennessee D.)
Santana Moss - 3 rec for 39 yds, 0 TD = MISS
Marques Colston - 3 rec for 38 yds, 0 TD = MISS
Eric Johnson - 3 rec for 23 yds, 0 TD = MISS
the butler:
Starts-
Marc Bulger - 220 yds, 2TD, 0 INT, 10 rushyds = HIT (he did look like a homo again, not getting my man Stephen Jackson in the end zone...running play-action bootleg QB keepers from the half yard line and getting sacked) But his #'s were just as I suspected
Brad Johnson - 201 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT = MISS ( I called two scores, and he probably would've got them if his WR's hadn't fumbled thrice)
L. Maroney - 38 rushyds, 45 retyds, 0 TD = MISS (I still love him)
Frank Gore - 134 rushyds, 3 rec for 38 yds, 0 TD = HIT (week 5's top rusher)
Reggie Brown - 4 rec for 79 yds, 1 TD = HIT
Greg Jennings - 5 rec for 105 yds, 1 TD = HIT
LJ Smith - 2 rec for 63 yds, 0 TD = MISS (would've been a hit if he wasn't taken down at the one at the end of his 60-yd catch)
Sits-
Sexy Rexy - 182 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT = MISS (It was his lowest yd total this year and his first week under 200, though)
Big Ben - 220 yds, 0 TD, 2 INT = HIT
Willis McGahee - 50 rushyds, 4 rec for 15 yds, 0 TD = HIT (Chi-town D shut TBRBITL down)
Ronnie Brown - 39 rushyds, 1 rec for -3yds, 1 TD, 2 Fum = HIT (Even though he finally scored a TD, only 36 yds and 2 fumbles...not pretty)
M. Muhammad - 2 rec for 10 yds, 0 TD = HIT
L. Coles - 3 rec for 19 yds, 0 TD = HIT
T. Gonzalez - 1 rec for 25 yds, 0 TD = HIT
Final Records for week five: Sondog 5-6 - Ryan 10-4
*(we have officialy decided that week five is our preseason...rules will be discussed and set in stone and we shan't waiver even if we become peckish)
